The ScotianAires Chapter is offering financial assistance to one Chapter to assist in acquiring a coach(s) or for assistance to the Director for educational purposes or for Music purchases. Exception - Newfound Sound can apply to receive the monies for a coach or for financial assistance to attend AC&C or IC&C.
Award
$500 - To be provided to one Chapter
Rules
Scholarship funds should be designated for educational purposes primarily, with the exception of Newfound Sound as mentioned above.
Scholarship funds can be designated for a coach or for assistance to a Director attending an educational function or for the attainment of music.
Deadline to apply is April 30th
Money must be utilized between April 1, 2025 and March 31, 2026.
No Chapter can receive the award in two consecutive years.
The recipient will be announced during the AC&C banquet. After receiving and using the funds, the recipient must send a letter to
kgsf@scotianaires.ca detailing how the assistance helped their Chapter.
The Ann Connolly Leadership Award
Ann Connolly Area 1 Leadership Award donated by the Sea Belles
Description
The Ann Connolly Area 1 Leadership Award has been created to commemorate the significant impact, tremendous leadership and overall contributions Ann made to the Sea Belles, Area 1 and Harmony, Inc.
The Ann Connolly Area 1 Leadership Award will be given annually to one member of Area 1. This heartfelt award will be presented to an individual who best reflects Ann’s love for life, her genuine enthusiasm for barbershop, her commitment to her Chapter and Area 1, and her outstanding leadership abilities.
Award criteria:
- Member of Harmony, Inc. for at least three years
- Active involvement and significant impact on her Chapter and the Area
- Friendly and helpful with a willingness to help others
- Grass roots leadership with a selfless determination to serve her sisters in Harmony

The Sea Belles Chapter is offering financial assistance via the Ann Connolly Leadership Award to one Chapter member in Area 1 to assist them with their travel and expenses to attend a Harmony Inc. related function.
Award
$500 - To be provided to one Member in Area 1
This Award may be applied for by:
- Any active Area 1 Harmony member (self-nomination)
- Any active Area 1 Harmony member who wishes to nominate another active member.
Rules
The Award funds are designated as stated above for travel and other expenses to attend a Harmony Inc. related function.
Applications must be emailed to acla@seabelles.ca by May 1 of the contest year.
The recipient will be chosen by May 31st and will be presented with the award at the AC&C banquet
Money must be utilized by December 31 of the year following Contest.
No Member or Chorus can receive the award in two consecutive years (The winner in 2024 cannot apply in 2025)
After receiving and using the funds, the recipient is requested to send a letter to acla@seabelles.ca detailing how the monies they received from the Award assisted them in attending the Harmony Inc. related event. This letter will be shared with the Connolly family.


Area 1 Excellence in Administration Award

Description
Pauline Morehouse was a founding member of the ScotianAires. Her perseverance and tenacity
brought the Chapter to life and the ScotianAires officially chartered on April 16, 1983. For many years
in her role as Recording Secretary, her passion for barbershop kept the Chapter running smoothly and
efficiently. During her 41 years as a dedicated Member, Pauline was a valuable mentor to many who
requested her knowledge, encouragement and/or support. She was a “wise owl” for the chorus
members.
The ScotianAires are offering an “Excellence in Administration” award to honor Pauline’s commitment
to the barbershop craft and Harmony, Inc. The award will be given annually to one member of Area 1.
The award will be presented to an individual who meets the criteria indicated below, all traits that

smoothly and in a timely manner.
4. Attention to Detail: The individual consistently ensures that all records, documents, and
communications are accurate and thorough, paying close attention to even the smallest details.
5. Communication and Connection: The individual keeps everyone informed by clearly and
effectively sharing important information about their Chapter, and other Chapters in the Area, and
connecting with members of other choruses.
6. Reliability and Consistency: As a dependable member of the team, the individual consistently
